We make things simple
Somebody has probably told you to "just get on Signal" by now. You nodded, and then never got around to it. Fair enough, because a new messaging app sounds like work. It isn't. Signal is free, the setup takes about five minutes, and it is refreshingly simple. Here is the whole thing, step by step. โฆ
By now you have a Business lane for work and an everyday lane for the noise. Both of those are about keeping people at a comfortable arm's length. This one is the opposite. Signal is where the actual humans in your life live. Of the three lanes, it is the one I would most want โฆ
Think about the last stranger you gave your number to. A delivery guy, a shop counter, a plumber, someone on OLX. Now open WhatsApp and see what that person can see about you. Your photo, your last seen, your About line, possibly your status. On your everyday lane, none of that should be visible to โฆ
Your everyday line is about to start collecting things. Delivery pings, OTPs, marketing messages, one-off chats with a vendor you will never speak to again. Left alone, that becomes a second phone buzzing in your pocket all day. Which would defeat the entire point. The trick is to set it up so it never actually โฆ

Try to remember every place you have typed your phone number this year. Delivery slips, shopping sites, a contest at a mall, an OLX listing, a loyalty card. You cannot remember them all, and that is exactly the problem. This is Phase 3, your everyday lane. Before we set it up, here is why it โฆ
Your Business lane is set up. Now there is an awkward question. What about the client chats still sitting in your personal WhatsApp? Honest bit first: you cannot bulk-transfer chat threads between two numbers. There is no button for it. But you don't need to move them. You redirect instead. How do I tell people โฆ
You are juggling a dozen client chats, and somewhere in there is a quote you sent last Tuesday. Did they reply? Did you get paid? Did that job ever close? Most people answer those questions by scrolling and hoping. There is a feature in WhatsApp Business that most people ignore, and it fixes exactly this. โฆ
Every small business owner knows the feeling of a message arriving at 2am. You are asleep, the client is waiting, and nothing happens until you wake up. The trick to looking super-responsive without being chained to your phone is to let the app do the talking. Three free tools handle the repetitive stuff for you. โฆ
